What’s Happening This Week
GCISD closed for holiday break
All GCISD campuses and administrative offices will be closed from Nov. 20-24 for Thanksgiving break. All facilities will reopen on Nov. 27 and classes will resume as scheduled.
Upcoming Calendar Items
Local artist to work with GHS students
Grapevine High School advanced art students will participate in a demonstration and workshop hosted by local artist Francois Arneas on Nov. 27 at the campus. Information: Mary Williams, 817-251-5210.
GHS hosts junior musical theatre activities
Children in first through fifth grades are invited to participate in a musical theatre workshop and production hosted by the Grapevine High Theatre Department from 10:30-4 p.m. Dec. 2 at GHS. The day-long event will teach participants about basic theatre concepts and involve them in various theatre activities. The workshop will culminate in a presentation of “GunPowder,” in which the students will perform as actors, singers and dancers for parents and guests at 4 p.m. Cost is $40 and includes lunch. Enrollment is limited to 75 students and reservations will be accepted through Nov. 27, with late enrollments accepted at the door for an additional $10. First deadline approaching for GCISD Video Festival
Students planning to enter the logo and/or poster contest for the fifth-annual GCISD Video Festival should submit their entries to the front office of their campus by the end of the school day on Dec. 7. Visit http://www.gcisd-k12.org/vidfest/ for more details.
