Registration dates set in May for incoming kindergarten students

Kindergarten Roundup, a spring registration for incoming kindergarteners, will be held
in May at the campus which the student will attend. Children who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to attend kindergarten, which is held at each of the 11 elementary schools in GCISD from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Kindergarten Roundup will be held at all schools on May 1 at the times indicated, with Silver Lake Elementary offering an additional time on May 2.

The following documentation is required for registration:

• Birth Certificate or another document suitable as proof of the student’s identity
• Social Security Number or state identification number
• Child's immunization records
• Proof of Residency in GCISD
  • Executed Lease, Deed of Sale or Tax Statement
  • Parent's valid Texas driver's license or Utility Bill (other than telephone)
