Love
and Logic at GES
The GHS counseling department is offering a complimentary workshop
at Grapevine Elementary School to help parents raise teenagers in
the 21st century. In order to register, please complete a registration
form in the GHS Counseling Office and return it to the GHS Counseling
Office by Jan. 8. The parenting program, “Becoming a Love
and Logic Parent,” will be presented on six Thursday evenings,
Jan. 11, 18, Feb. 1, 8, 22 and March 1st at Grapevine Elementary
from 6:15-8:15 p.m.. The program is designed to give parents practical
skills and promotes responsibility and thinking skills in children.
There is no cost to participants.

Registration
begins for next TARGET session
Registration begins Jan. 12 for session 3 of GCISD’s TARGET
evening classes for high school credit. Basic courses are offered
to allow students to catch up on credits, advance in order to graduate
early or open a section of their normal schedule to take another
course of their choice. The session runs from Jan. 29-March 8 and
classes are held at Bridges Accelerated Learning Center, 736 E.
Northwest Highway in Grapevine. Cost for the one-semester class
is $200 for GCISD students and $250 for students from other districts.
A $10 non-refundable registration fee will be charged per student.
Checks, money orders and cash are accepted in person; MasterCard,
Visa and Discover are accepted by fax at 817-251-5477. The next
session will be April 2-May 10, with registration beginning March
