GCISD Board of Trustees set for 2007-2008

GCISD’s Board of Trustees for 2007-2008 officially began work after two members were sworn in at the May 21 Board meeting. Nancy Coplen, Place 3, and Lisa Hall, Place 4, were given the Oath of Office. Both Coplen and Hall were unopposed in the May election.

Board member Charlie Warner was elected to serve as Board president for the 2007-2008 school year. Warner, Place 1, served as President for the 2005-2006 school year. Hall was re-elected as vice president, a position she served in during 2006-2007. Vicki Thomas, Place 2, will serve as secretary.

The rest of the seven-member Board includes: Jesse G. Rodriguez, Place 5; Vince Rosen, Place 6; and Freda Ward, Place 7. Board members serve the District on rotating three-year terms and receive no financial compensation for the work.
