Emergency Planning Team

The GCISD Emergency Management Operations consists of a District Wide Emergency Operations Planning Team and a Campus-Based Emergency Operations Planning Team.

DISTRICT EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLANNING TEAM
Members:
  • Representatives from key departments throughout the district (operations, human resources, finance, health services, etc).
  • A representative from each campus-based emergency operations team
Responsibilities:
  • Review and update emergency operations plans 
  • Conduct Safety Audits
  • Review after-action reports after an event on a campus
  • Relay information to department or campus-based emergency operation planning team

CAMPUS-BASED EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLANNING TEAM
Members:
  • Each campus should have an EOPT consisting of a minimum of 4 staff members
  • Membership of the team should include, but is not limited to an administrator, nurse (RN), counselor and other staff designated by the principal.
 Responsibilities:
  • Review and update emergency operations plans 
  • Conduct Safety Audits
  • Review after-action reports after an event on a campus
  • Relay information to department or campus-based emergency operation planning team
